Assess Decision-Making Capacity | 1/2–1 day
For medical and legal professionals, and staff working with the elderly and people with disabilities. Participants will understand what decision-making capacity is, the capacity assessment principles, key legal tests for assessing for capacity, and other relevant issues.
Child Protection & Wellbeing | 1/2–1 day
Participants will understand the "Keep Them Safe" child protection system, key definitions and categories of abuse, what to do if there is a disclosure of abuse, and how to report to Community Services, including working through the Keep Them Safe decision trees.
Law for Non-lawyers | 1 day
This provides participants with an overall understanding of key aspects of the legal system relevant to the workplace, such as: work, health and safety, duty of care, discrimination and EEO, and privacy and confidentiality.
Leadership & Management
Business Ethics | 1 day
Participants will be able to carry out ethical business practices that reconcile the organisational or team vision and core values with the need for practical, timely solutions.
Change Management | 1 day
Managers will be able to lead staff more effectively through change, by recognising how people typically deal with major change, and identifying key strategies needed to implement change. They will also improve their own ability to manage change.
Coaching and Mentoring | 1–2 days
Participants will be able to provide effective, timely coaching to their team members and other staff, and give valuable mentoring support to employees as appropriate.
Effective Leadership | 1–2 days
Participants will clearly understand their role as managers, given an organisation's vision, strategies, and competitive environment. They will know the behaviours needed to effectively lead change and manage staff performance. They will appraise their own leadership through feedback from staff, self and various exercises.
Finance for Non-Finance Managers | 1 day
Managers will learn accounting theory and basic accounting processes, 'buzz words', be able to read financial reports, prepare budgets, and use basic financial techniques.
Giving Constructive Feedback | 1/2–1 day
Participants will know how to give constructive feedback in a timely, effective manner. They will know how to manage poor performance and recognise good performance, with an emphasis on the latter.
Leadership and Managing Performance | 2 days
These two areas are often treated quite separately, yet in a real sense they are two sides of the one coin. This workshop will help participants to embody effective leadership qualities and practices, and simultaneously effectively manage team performance in a timely, effective manner throughout the performance management cycle.
Managing an Ageing Workforce | 1 day
Participants will learn the facts and consequences of workforce ageing. They will recognise the benefits of mature workers, and the need to minimise the adverse effects of culture, stereotypes and generational differences on mature workers. They will also learn strategies to gain maximum benefit from an ageing workforce.
Managing a Virtual Team | 1 day
Managers are increasingly required to manage virtual teams – teams scattered across different locations in the one city, state, across states, or even in different countries. This can present considerable time zone, cultural, performance management, team building and other challenges. This workshop will help participants to address these challenges.
People Skills for Project Managers | 2 days
Three main stated reasons why projects fail: people, people, people!!
Project managers will acquire the key people skills to help them achieve needed outcomes – these include recruitment and selection; team building; leadership; principled negotiation; assertiveness; empathy; communication; and presentation skills.
Performance Management | 1 day
Participants will be able to: set appropriate goals for staff; coach and motivate them towards the achievement of those goals; recognise achievements and deal with poor performance; and provide effective, regular feedback on individual staff performance.
Project Management Basics | 2 days
Participants will be able to apply key project planning principles to their projects, including the monitoring/control of project progress and risk management. They will learn how to recruit the right team, effectively manage their performance and liaise properly with key stakeholders. They will also be able to apply negotiation, conflict resolution and change management principles.

Participants will understand what constitutes effective teams, and know how to contribute to team effectiveness through displaying trust, personal empowerment, valuing differences, and good communication skills.

Assertiveness Skills | 1 day
Participants will develop the skills and learn techniques to get their point across and behave assertively, rather than passively or aggressively, with others/'difficult' people.
Complaints Resolution | 1 day
This workshop is designed to help participants to turn complaints into 'rivers of gold'; to use them as an opportunity rather than a threat; and to create a complaint-valuing culture which effectively handles and monitors responses to complaints.
Conflict Resolution | 1–2 days
Participants will be able to resolve conflict in an assertive, empathic and problem-solving focused manner, using a win-win approach to conflict resolution.
Crucial Conversations | 1 day
Participants will learn the benefits and importance of properly preparing for and conducting crucial conversations. They will learn key skills, such as assertiveness, empathy, clear, concise communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Getting Win-Win Outcomes | 1 day
Participants will know how to apply a win-win approach to negotiations, conflicts or situations where there are differing objectives – using assertiveness, empathy, clear listening and communication, and a partnership based problem-solving approach.
Managing Diversity | 1 day
All organisations need to effectively deal with legislative requirements, labour skills shortages and the challenges of developing a motivated, skilled workforce. It makes sound business sense to recruit, develop, recognise and retain people with a whole diversity of traits and backgrounds. Participants will achieve greater inclusivity of all stakeholders through better understanding and valuing diversity.
Mediation Skills | 1 day
Those in HR or designated Grievance Officer roles will be able to mediate in staff conflicts, by practising key mediation skills and following an appropriate mediation process.
Negotiation Skills | 1–2 days
Participants will be able to practise principled negotiation, based on ethical practices, assertive communication and an underlying win-win philosophy. They will know how to deal with obstacles and tactics, and bring negotiations to a successful conclusion.
Customer Service
Consulting Skills | 1–2 days
Staff in an internal or external consulting role will know to enhance client relationships, use effective consulting processes, and achieve positive outcomes.
Customer Service Skills | 1 day
Participants will know the importance of satisfying and keeping current customers. They will learn from effective operators/benchmark organisations, and know how to question, listen and communicate effectively with customers. They will also learn how to deal properly with difficult customers.
Dealing with Difficult Customers | 1 day
Everyone will invariably have to deal with 'difficult' people in the course of their days. This workshop provides the skills and confidence to manage these challenges, using key skills in assertiveness, empathy, etc. In particular, it will help them to better manage the issues, the 'difficult' person's emotions, and their own emotions.
Stakeholder Profiling and Communication | 1 day
The ability to effectively read, understand and build rapport with stakeholders provides a distinct advantage when it comes to managing expectations, negotiating and dealing with difficult situations. The workshop will provide the skills, tools and techniques for developing effective and enduring stakeholder relationships.

Communicating Effectively | 1 day
Participants will have developed the skills to be more effective in writing, listening and communicating with other people within the workplace.
Conducting Effective Meetings | 1 day
Participants will be able to effectively prepare for, chair meetings, and ensure follow-through. They will also be able to encourage full participation and resolve conflicts within meetings, as well as negotiate and achieve appropriate outcomes.
Influencing Skills | 1 day
Participants will learn how to gain commitment and support from those for whom they have no direct management responsibility. They will know how to get buy-in from stakeholders, effectively manage 'difficult' people, and reduce resistance by others to their views and proposals. They will also learn how to persuade others, rather than relying on positional power.
Presentation Skills | 1–2 days
Participants will have the conceptual frameworks, effective techniques, and also been given sufficient practice and constructive feedback to be able to deliver successful presentations.
Self-Management
Career Management | 1 day
Participants will be able to identify their own interests, strengths and lesser areas and how to best manage their careers to achieve their short and longer-term goals.
Managing Time and Stress | 1 day
Participants will be better able to manage their time and handle stress in their work and personal lives. They will be able to do this by better prioritising and completing work in terms of urgency, and by developing skills in areas that impact on their stress levels.
Stress Management | 1 day
Participants will be better able to handle stress in their work and personal lives, by lessening the impact of stressors, increasing their resistance to 'negative' stress, and developing skills in areas that impact their stress levels.
Telephone Skills | 1 day
Participants will learn how to communicate empathically, assertively and effectively with callers. They will know how to manage the callers' and their own emotions/needs, and be able to deal with the more difficult callers in such ways that mutually acceptable outcomes are usually achieved.
Time Management | 1 day
Participants will be able to more effectively plan, prioritise and complete their work in terms of its urgency and importance. They will evaluate a completed time log in terms of how they spend their time, and identify their time wasters.
Other Skills
HR Coaching Skills | 1 day
This is designed for HR managers/staff who need to coach managers to deal properly with team issues (poor performance, etc.), rather than HR taking on prime responsibility for this area. They will learn how to help managers to coach their team members, manage poor performance and discipline issues, and deal with the more challenging team members.
Problem Solving and Decision Making | 1 day
Participants will be able to clearly define a problem and investigate its underlying causes. They will be able to apply suitable techniques for both exploring possible solutions and narrowing alternatives until an appropriate solution is found.
Recruitment and Selection | 1–2 days
Participants will be able to effectively prepare for and conduct recruitment interviews, and make sound selection decisions, using organisational guidelines and a behavioural approach.

Participants will know the critical success factors for applying for jobs in their organisation or elsewhere.
